Alumni Arena
The Armstrong State University Division of Physical Education & Athletics moved into its current facility in July of 1995.

An 82,000 square foot multi-purpose building, the Armstrong Sports Center provides expanded academic offerings in spacious, modern, surroundings. Students have a 2,000 square foot weight training/fitness center with 29 Cybex machine exercise stations, a free weight area; four classrooms, and two 3,535 square foot activity areas, 6 dressing rooms, an athletic training room outfitted with whirlpool baths and rehab equipment, and a two lane indoor track in which to attain their education. Armstrong's men's and women's basketball teams play home events in a 4,000 seat arena that contains chair-back seating for spectators. Pets are not allowed at Armstrong athletic facilities.

Alumni Arena, the 4,000 seat court venue inside of the Sports Center plays host to all Men's and Women's NCAA basketball games on the Armstrong campus, NCAA volleyball tournaments, and a multitude of special events. In the past, Alumni Arena has hosted a variety of events, some of which include the 1998 & 1999 Peach Belt Conference Basketball Tournaments, Georgia Special Olympics, Atlanta Hawks training camps, various prep basketball tournaments, ATA Taekwondo Championships, and area high school graduation ceremonies among others.

 

Directions To Armstrong State University

Northbound
Travel north on interstate 95 (I-95N). Take exit 94, GA-204, toward Savannah/Pembroke. Turn right onto GA-204 E for 7.3 miles. Armstrong State University is on your right and has two entrances onto campus. The second entrance (Arts Drive) is the main entrance to the university. Southbound
Travel south on interstate 95 (I-95N). Take exit 94, GA-204, toward Savannah/Pembroke. Turn left onto GA-204 E for 7.5 miles. Armstrong State University is on your right and has two entrances onto campus. The second entrance (Arts Drive) is the main entrance to the university. Eastbound
Travel east on interstate I-16 (I-16E). Take exit 157A onto interstate 95 (I-95S) toward Brunswick/Jacksonville for 5.1 miles. Turn onto GA-204 E for 7.5 miles. Armstrong State University is on your right and has two entrances onto campus. The second entrance (Arts Drive) is the main entrance to the university. See campus map for specific building locations.
